Matheus Simoes

Matheus Simoes is the founder of Lumen Capital. He built the firm on a single conviction: that serious capital deserves serious care, and that what protects wealth across decades is rarely the next opportunity. It is structure, governance, and clarity.

He leads the firm's cross-border work between the United States and Latin America, across structured credit, private market investments, capital advisory, and financial engineering. His focus is to align each structure to the counterparty's mandate, risk parameters, and horizon, rather than fitting a counterparty to a product.

Based in Miami, he works with qualified investors, family offices, and institutional counterparties for whom documentation discipline and discretion are not negotiable.

Rui C. Neto

Real value is what remains after the cycle.

Rui C. Neto is the Chief Value Officer of Lumen Capital. He leads the firm's strategy and its institutional relationships, connecting European and Latin American counterparties to the firm's structuring and advisory work.

Based in Portugal, he coordinates the firm's European presence and accompanies each counterparty from the first conversation through onboarding, governance, and long-term relationship management. His work centers on what endures: structures that are governed, reviewed, and accountable over time.

He brings a long-horizon view to every mandate, in the conviction that real value is what remains after the cycle.
